Writing a Short Diary

Write about your day, describe activities, and express feelings.

~(으)ㄹ 것이다 — Future / Plan / Intention

Verb stem + (으)ㄹ 거예요 (polite) or (으)ㄹ 것이다 (written). Expresses future plans or predictions. 가다 → 갈 거예요 (I will go), 먹다 → 먹을 거예요 (I will eat).

내일은 일찍 일어날 거예요.naeireun iljjik ireoal geoyeyoI will wake up early tomorrow.
주말에 친구를 만날 거예요.jumare chingureul mannal geoyeyoI'm going to meet a friend on the weekend.

~게 되다 — Come to / End up doing (change)

Verb stem + 게 되다 describes a change in situation or state, often unplanned. 한국어를 좋아하게 됐어요 (I came to like Korean). 이사하게 됐어요 (I ended up moving).

한국 드라마 덕분에 한국어를 배우게 됐어요.hanguk deurama deokbune hangugeoreul baeuuge dwaesseoyoThanks to Korean dramas, I came to learn Korean.
서울에서 살게 됐어요.seoureseo salge dwaesseoyoI ended up living in Seoul.

기분gibunmood / feeling
Examples오늘 기분이 정말 좋았어요.oneul gibuni jeongmal joasseoyoI was in a really good mood today.
힘들다himdeuldato be hard / exhausting
Examples오늘 일이 많아서 힘들었어요.oneul iri manaseo himdeureosseoyoThere was a lot of work today, so it was tough.
행복하다haengbokhadato be happy
Examples가족과 함께해서 행복했어요.gajokgwa hamkkehaeseo haengbokhaesseoyoI was happy being with my family.
그래서geuraeseoso / therefore
Examples비가 왔어요. 그래서 집에 있었어요.biga wasseoyo. geuraeseo jibe isseosseoyoIt rained. So I stayed home.
